Annual Lunch

The Annual Lunch which took place on 17th June at the Caledonian Club was a great success with over 50 members and guests  attending.  The room was perfect, the food was  delicious and the Principal, Professor Anton Muscatelli,  an excellent speaker.  What more could we ask!  Many thanks to David Coughtrie for being our sponsor at the Caledonian Club.

The Principal was presented with a £50 Book Token by our President, Anne Robins as a token of appreciation from the Club.   There was also a presentation by our Past President, Maureen McLellan of a cheque for £2,000 (which had been agreed by the AGM) and which the Principal accepted on behalf of Professor Anna Dominiczak who had been our speaker at last year’s lunch in the House of Lords.  Professor Dominiczak has extended an invitation to any Club member who is in Glasgow and would like to visit the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine.  Tthey would be made most welcome.  Professor Dominiczak can be contacted on 0141 330 5420/ 2738 or by e-mail at ad7e@clinmedgla.ac.uk.

Travel to Oxford:

For those coming by car the Park & Ride (clearly signposted) MUST be used and buses will take you into the centre of Oxford.

For those coming by coach the coach station is not far from our meeting point.

For those coming by train the railway station is a bit further away from the centre so it may be necessary to catch a bus (or taxi) from the station.
